What is Organization schema?
It is structured data, written in JSON-LD, that describes your business: its name, logo, website, contact details, address and official profiles. Google says this markup helps it understand your organization and tell it apart from others with similar names.
Where should I add Organization schema?
Add it once, to your homepage or About page, inside the page HTML. You don't need it on every page. Most CMS platforms have a header script or custom code field for this.
Should I choose Organization or LocalBusiness?
Use LocalBusiness if customers visit your premises or you serve a local area, and fill in the full address. Use Organization for online businesses, B2B companies and brands without a public location. ProfessionalService is a type of LocalBusiness for firms such as agencies, accountants and consultants.
What should I put in the sameAs field?
Links to your official profiles on other sites, one per line, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, Crunchbase or a Wikipedia page if you have one. Only add profiles you own and keep active.
How do I test the Organization markup?
